About This Song:

[Lyrics]

Help me break these chains

Help me break these walls

Help me break my addiction to pain

I set myself up to get knocked down again

Help me leave this place

Help me care again

Help me stand on my own to feet

Just to stumble and fall on my face again

I have found the end

I have found the end

Without you the story won't continue

Closing the book I pretend

To live

To live

Help me find the time

Think I lost my mind

Help me find my pain

I can't feel a single fucking thing

Help my soul to cry

Help this guilt to die

Try to flee from my mind's

But inside my dreams is my one reprieve

I have found the end

I have found the end

Without you the story won't continue

Closing the book I pretend

I have found the end

I have found the end

Without you the story won't continue

Closing the book I pretend

To live

To live

Help me find the end

Help me find the end

Missing pages, names and faces

Missing your arms, and now I'm faceless

I have found the end

I have found the end

Without you the story won't continue

Closing the book I pretend

I have found the end

I have found the end

Without you the story won't continue

Closing my eyes I pretend

To live (x9)

The End

Truthfully, I don't remember why I wrote this. I remember the night I wrote it, and I can tell who it's directed at, but I don't remember exactly why I wrote it. I do remember that I was big into Alice in Chains at the time (They're one of my all time favourite bands), and that this is where I began to incorporate more frequent harmonies like what I heard on their records.

I feel like this song might actually be pretty good re-visited, but I think it's most noteworthy because of the use of harmonies. It's something I've come to incorporate into almost everything I do. Hope you enjoy.
