My name is Rob Chapman. I am a graduate of the Recording Arts program at Nova Scotia Community College, Waterfront Campus. I am an aspiring audio engineer, deepening my love of music as I learn more about the industry, the music, and myself.
What that means is that I want to be the guy who runs the soundboard in a recording studio, whether it be in a professional or a home studio setting. Wherever life may take me. I want to be the guy who makes the song sound like a finished record the minute you come into the studio control room from playing it.
Being able to do that means that I need to study and practice my craft at every given opportunity to do so, so if you'd like your song mixed by an outside source, I might be just the person you need to help bring out a side of that song you've never seen, or to make that song sound the way you've imagined it in your mind, but haven't quite been able to unlock outside of it.
I'm also a singer-songwriter. There are things that I love in every genre of music. I love to experiment and get creative, whether it's with the sound of synthesizers and an 808, or pianos with strings and acoustic drums; on my own, or with the help of other talented musicians: I make whatever music I can, whenever I have the opportunity to do so.
I love music. I always have, and I always will. Whether it's writing lyrics, doing up MIDI to try and bring a tune in my head to life, or jamming out to my favourite bands, music is my life, and I'm more than happy to share it with with the world.
And I always will be.
