Memoirs has a bit of a story to it. Originally, it was a two part song, with this serving as the first part, and a longer part two based around the same rhythm. This was one of the earliest songs written for Saying Goodbye To Yesterday, but when it came time to record it, I was so emotionally detatched from the lyrics that I didn't care to record them anymore. Sadly, I've lost them, and the original title of the track. But I'm still proud of this track. The idea to write it was initially inspired by one of my sisters listening to a piano song on the family computer. I heard it and wondered to myself why I hadn't done anything like that. So I wrote what ended up becoming Memoirs.
