About This Song:
Jane Doe
[Lyrics]
You don't know who you are anymore
Your future's uncertain
No past you can look to
These are the days when you wish you had more
The world feels so barren
The air is so cold
Right now
The world isn't ending
Face the new beginning
Now
You feel your heart racing
Now turn around and face me
And tell me your name
You don't know where to run anymore
The world is getting smaller
You're running out of shadows
Come out from hiding, the storm's at an end
You don't have to fear this
The clock starts again
Right now
The world isn't ending
Face the new beginning
Now
You feel your heart racing
Now turn around and face me
And tell me your name
Oh, man. I want to be proud of this song because it's one of my first compositions that's almost entirely midi, (the drums are a loop from Mixcraft's library), but MIDI GUITAR SOLO. WHY. Haha.
In all seriousness, this is one of the only songs, if not the only song from this album, that I'm still totally okay with being a song and I wouldn't mind revisiting it with my experience and improved understanding of MIDI, instrumentation, harmonies, and mixing.
It's basically just about witnessing a teenage identity crisis from the outside. Nothing terribly deep.
