I'll Be There was written for a close friend who was going through a very rough time. It is a direct letter to her. It's a friend I met over the internet, hence the lyric: It's a saturday night / As I stare at the light
And a flicker on the screen / Means everything to me. We often talked to each other to unload about all of the day's events and de-stress, and deal with other teenagerly (and young adult) issues. This is another song where the full instrumental was found online and I only wrote the lyrics. The instrumental has a bit of a country-rock feel to it. My vocals on this really don't fit, and I'm pretty sure my voice was wrecked by the time I recorded this. Oops.
